Party Plans

So.. here's what I'm thinking is reasonable in terms of party.
I know that [livejournal.com profile] blackfelicula is trying to scare up a Vertex run for next Friday, but I can't do that due to working 8 AM - 4:30 PM Saturday (:p :p :p).
But I DID put my two weeks notice in and asked for two weekends from now to be open. Unfortunately, Josh is going to be in NYC for the weekend, but I can and want to do a daytrip to Rochester that Saturday, get there fairly early and leave at a reasonable time.
I believe [livejournal.com profile] blackfelicula has offered to host. In terms of what to do, I was thinking conglomodinner and games (always up to playing board/card games :) Especially as, most likely, by then all my games will be packed away).
Then, in terms of something a little more SATISFYING, I was thinking perhaps when I finally get an apartment, I'll have a house warming party where anyone who wants to drive down/fly over is more than welcome. Either that or, perhaps, start preparing for Dork-A-Thon 2 for the Baltimore Washington Area ;)

So.. that's what I'm thinking

In another unrelated note, much love to Kareila for the gift :) I haven't actually listened to the new CD yet (nor has Kristen listened to Welcome to the Monkey House yet), but I'm sure I'll love it :)

Hugs to y'all and I'll keep y'all posted. Thanks to some quick thinking by mom, I should be able to keep occasional contact to people from LJ via AOL (until I've worked a couple months, probably, and know I have money for something a little more high speed), though I don't know how much time that'll be.

Back to bed, then. Well, feed the brats cats first.. then bed.

There's also Netzero or Juno's 10 hours free per month, but you'd go thru that in a couple days :P

I doubt I'd go through 10 hours in a couple of days, or even a week, but I also doubt I could do 10 hours a month too.
I can probably do the AIM thing until I've got my own apartment, then look into dialup for something like $20/month until I feel ready, financially, to be able to install a cable modem.

Meant to tell you this morning, when Netzero discontinued paid dial-up in my area and I pretty much had to get cable or go offline...I went through 10 hours in a week. And that was trying to keep it down. Once those 10 hours are up, you can't connect until the first of the following month. And it's tracked by modem hardware address, so multiple accounts isn't a viable option.

(Then again, I suspect I'm part of the reason they stopped paid accounts in Rochester. Something about running AudioGalaxy all night long...*whistles innocently* And they claimed it was due to too much bandwidth being used.)

However, if you use it as a backup to AOL, that'll certainly stretch it farther.
