Apartment Hunt News

So I haven't mentioned what's going on in terms of the apartment hunt and also what hotel I'm staying in.

First off... Hotel
I am booked at the Hampton Inn in Laurel, MD
7900 Braygreen Rd
Laurel, MD 20708
(240) 456-0234

I'm booked from the 15th of March through the 28th (2 weeks).

As for apartments... well.. I have 3 possibilities unless I want to cheat and say I only have two cats when I really have three :p

The choices I'm looking at are...
Foxfire in Laurel, MD
Expected amount to put down on apartment - $1905
Expected monthly rent - $790 (plus gas and electricity)
COULD get an apartment before April 1st

Cheverly Crossign in Hyattsville, MD
Expected amount to put down on apartment - $1700
Expected monthly rent - $735 if I get in before April 1st, $770 if I don't. (All utilities paid)
COULD get an apartment before April 1st

Hampshire Village in Hyattsville, MD
Expected amount to put down on apartment - $1630
Expected monthly rent - $800 (All Utilities Paid)
COULD NOT get an apartment before April 1st

So.. unless I find some more help between now and then, this is what I'm looking at. At least three is a nice manageable number, I guess :p Better than only one choice too.

That's all there is to say.

Why? I don't know anything about the area. Is Hyattsville a bad place to live?

I would suggest driving by each place in the evening, or parking the car and walking around the block. See what kind of traffic and people hang out in the area. I say this, because I have made some poor decisions in the past, and been stuck with a lease in some rough neighborhoods. All because I tried to save some money. Such is the problem of moving to a new city.

Other important factors. How close is the pizza delivery.

YES

. For where the apartments are, Yes.

The houses aren't so bad, but the apartments are filled with UMCP students who tend to get a lil' rowdy and other various not-so-good-as-neighbors folk.
