Cities are the same as suburban where its all about finding the right neighborhood. You can't judge a city by one neighborhood because a city has several. Thats what a city is. I'm sure you could find a neighborhood outside the city thats just as bad as the one inside the city..maybe even worse. You picked a bad location. Next time ask around or even hire a real estate agent when you get your next place.
