Getting old is weird. Your birthdays get closer together and less important. I almost upset my mom just now because I was all "eh, whatever" about mine and she was trying to figure out how to make sure I had cake without overstepping.

I don't really care about getting more stuff. I got to take the boys to an amusement park on Saturday and I went to a concert on Sunday. That's what keeps me going, I guess, being able to look back and say, hey, we went places and had fun.
