Shit

The republicans have both the Senate and the House...

War with Iraq here we come.

It's... vaguely shocking to me that Bush's campaign seems to have worked. I figured given that, hey, iraq MIGHT be an issue or that the big business scandals might count for something.
Apparently not.

I wonder if it's too late to try to become a Canadian.

I read some article about how Canada's immigration laws are stiffining up. Some people said they'd harbor illegal immigrants and drew a comparison with the Underground Railroad.

Graduate and get your degree thingie. Then come across the border. You've already been working on the Great Lakes, you can do that in Canada too! :)

Heh. I'd seriously consider it. I really like Toronto.
The issue is that I'm told from my uncle who did the same thing that they don't let you work in Canada until they can prove to themselves that no canadian can do your job.

I guess it's the same? it makes sense, yes?

There are a couple of ways to go about it, as I understand it. And it seems to change regularly. If you're really curious, check out the websites dedicated to that stuff, by the Canadian government.

It depends, entierly, on where I can find a job.
All bitching aside, that's the major factor to where I'll end up.

It's never too late, as long as you're willing to jump through their hoops, and pay the fees. It's not an easy process, but it can be done.

I've been doing some research on this myself, but from the student perspective.
