An introduction to the author

A new blog, a new first entry.

What to say, what to say?

Well, perhaps I'll introduce myself. Hi, there, I'm HK! Some of you know me under other names, but.. whatever. :)

I'm a 33 year old engineer living in Northern Virginia. I live with my wife, [personal profile] phoenixsong and four fuzzy felines of DOOM! By day, I'm a FEMA Floodplain Analyst and Team Lead. Which basically means I spend all day in front of a computer, reviewing models and making sure that my team has done their own review properly.

By night, I'm far more interesting ;) Either playing whichever video game on my PC or maybe the Wii: Animal Crossing, Sims, Zoo Tycoon, or maybe something else, or dancing it up in our Arthur Murray studio.

Actually, I guess if I think about it. I'm a pretty typical geek. Well, maybe except for the ballroom dancing. I love Star Trek. I love my Discworld novels. I play video games. :)  .. and I ballroom dance, proving I'm NOT entirely typical! HA!

EDIT: OK, have a link to port over my LJ, so beginning...

though I think, looking through all the stuff being posted, I may taken an opportunity to go through, get rid of the drek, the surveys, etc., and keep the stuff with actual content. Maybe clean up my tags too.

Anyways.. I don't really know what to say. :) And I kinda have work to do, so.. to anyone new (and to those few of you who are returned friends), hiya!

You know what would be neat?

Some sort of tool that could go through all of my entries and tally up the songs I was listening to when I posted and give me a report.

Which songs got repeated the most. Which songs did I never play again (while posting).

It would be totally useless, but kinda neat. ;)
