Maybe it doesn't increase mucous, per se, but I know from experience you don't, say, drink a glass of milk before a concert, because it does coat your throat in a gunky sort of way.

Right, but you wouldn't drink anything sugary, either, for the same reason. You'd stick to tea or water, pretty much.

But then, I don't particularly want to start an argument, either. Was just throwing it out there. :)
