Feeling Philosophical
Hmmm.. no philosophical smiley. Too bad...
I find it interesting that people can be part of the same experience and see it in totally different lights. The specific incident I'm thinking of is Justine's (Solace's) fight with Mark. I find it interesting how in his view, Justine attacked him, saying nasty things about Janine and rubbing in her relationship with this Matt guy.
On the other hand, in her perspective, Solace did no such things and was quite happy for Mark and Janine.
Sounds like to me that this was a really stupid and unnecessary fight. Feelings shouldn't need to be hurt here. Justine should be happy for Mark and Mark happy for Justine.
Too bad it doesn't really WORK like that. (Humans are silly like that. They overcomplicate life.)
Oo, and to make things more interesting, Alana, who I PERSONALLY have very little respect to (Hi, Alana, if yer reading this and I wouldn't be at all surprised if you were) as I think she's emotionally immature and suffering from a "Poor Me" syndrome, steps into the middle of things and makes things worse by yelling at Mark and tell him how horrible he is for venting over an otherwise stupid fight.
Alana, if you are reading, this getting a CLUE and get yer nose out of where it doesn't belong! Or were you purposely trying to make even more people mad at you? Have you learned nothing since last year? Surely seems not... seems yer still as emotionally immature as when I broke communication with you.
Oh well, time for work.
Mark and Justine, I hope you two can talk this out and leave as friends. It would be a pity if you couldn't.

Nod
Janine
Interesting late-night read
I think there's a lot of hypocrisy in this. You talk about my nose being where it doesn't belong, and yet you feel just as comfortable as I do making comments on the situation. Whether these comments are negative or positive are irrelevant. Mark and Justine bitch about each other's relationship and then get pissy the other one does so. Mark and I have long conversations over the contents of a web journal inflicting pain on others but then knows Justine's aware of what he's writing about her. (Ergh, Mark wasn't supposed to come out havin the most negative points here.) I think Janine's right about dropping the entire thing. Sure, nothing will be resolved, but what really needs to be resolved? Justine and Mark don't NEED to be buddies no matter how this ends up.
You're not wrong in saying that Mark has a right to vent, as do we all. Perhaps if no one set the "comment" option, things would be easier. It would all have a more private feel to it. Of course, we'd be fooling ourselves. It's not private. The way we've all been linked by mutual friends, that makes it pretty obvious.
I had said more, but I deleted it--well, copied it over for later use might be a better phrasing. There was more for you, personally, but as I said, it's not a private forum, and as you can tell from my reaction to Mark, I'm not happy with pulling thing into one. If you'd like the rest of this message, I can @mail it to you. I think I'm about done with "friend" lists, but for my own now. If you want to contact me, it's best to do it from Chaotic. I do believe I'll go exist in my world of pretend privacy.

Amused in a good way or like "I'm amused she has the gall to say anything whatsoever"? *gryn*
