PHEAR!

They're making The Sims: Vacation...
I phear it.
Of course, that doesn't mean I won't buy it.. of course I will.. but sheesh!

Took today off. (in other words, no I did not go to the gym.) I'm still sore and I figured the soreness isn't going to go away unless I take it easy for a day, so I will. Tommorow, hopefully the soreness is at least mostly gone.
You know.. a couple months ago, the idea of taking a day off on PURPOSE would shock me. I'd have NEVER done such a thing. Now I realize it's the best thing to do.. and tommorow I'll get back onto that treadmill and jog again.
With luck, the soreness was a more or less one time thing as my body protests saying "*whine* But I've never had to jog BEFORE. Why do I have to do it nooooow?" Mind over Body. Yep.
Anyways.

I've decided I know what Blue Fang and Microsoft need to do to top Zoo Tycoon. Add an expansion pack with extinct animals! This has potential! I'm not just talking dinosaurs here (tho, of course.. yes.. dinosaurs would be cool. For those "in the know" there's an easter egg in the game to get you a triceratops.. and a unicorn (they could always try for more mythical animals too.) but wooly mammoths and sabre toothed tigers and supersized alligators and do do birds and other such cool things.
Saying such a thing would prolly piss of [livejournal.com profile] soreth and [livejournal.com profile] malytwotails but I'd LOVE to have a dragon in my zoo. Or a griffin or a manticore or a mermaid.
Plus. there's so many REAL animals they could easily add.. wild horses and otters and eagles and falcons and iguanas and komono dragons and peacocks and walrus and stuff.
Anyways, what I'm saying is..- c'mon.. give us an expansion pack! :)
Hey, if Sims can do *4* and RCT can do *2*, you can certainly come up with one or two. :)

Not much else to report, so I'll just post this.

Pffft.

I see no harm in having a dragon in a zoo, so long as it's allowed to occasionally snap up and messily devour a passing tourist. And it doesn't get its wings clipped or something equally horrible. And they don't try and restrict it from doing whatever it wants, up to and including leaving the zoo to go shopping for more things for its hoard.

Matter of fact, that doesn't sound too bad...

[PS: It's "Komodo" dragon, at least as far as I know.]

*laugh* No, I'm afraid the dragons can't be allowed to devour the guest. That could lead to a potential unpopular zoo. I mean.. no one wants to be EATEN by the exhibits. That's why Jurassic Park never really got off the ground (Pot a Wity.)

I know it's Komodo dragon. I just like calling it the Komono dragon because I like the image of a Dragon in a Kimono ;)

I don't even have Sims Hot Date yet. Rar! (It should be out for the Mac by the end of February.) How long am I gonna have to wait for this one?

The Birmingham Zoo had peacocks. Not in cages, just roaming around freely. That was cool.

But you don't need to cage the griffins. Just put us in a cave with some computers and we'll forget to leave. :)

I want to go to the Toronto Zoo again. they have all sorts of great exhibits (like Wolfies!)

*laugh*
Cave? What about a shoebox?
Besides, from what I can read, it sounds like.. sure that'd work for a couple years, but then the Griffin would get depressed and come out of it's cave and try to meet (or eat.. I THINK Griffins are supposed to be carnivorous) the guests. Again leading to the potential unpopular zoo problem.

but by the time that happened you'd have made a fortune and sold out and be living in a castle in Scotland somewhere. so it wouldn't be your problem.
