Just got stuck in a snow drift right near my house. Was out doing errands for mom (like getting cat food) and the driving suddenly got nasty. Nasty enough that on roads like mine that haven't been salted well/recently, I started to slide..
So I'm ALMOST at home, ready to turn into my street.. except that I turn the wheel but the car don't turn... brakes, no... WHOOSH! LITE hits a snowdrift.
Try to reverse.. no.
A guy pulls off the road as I get out to try to push it out.. together. No.
We try to dig the one wheel off try again. No. Ah, the front driver tire isn't actually touching the ground. Goodie!
Get some boards from the basement, try putting them under the tire and.. altogether now! No.
So I just called AAA and they have a one and a half hour to two hour wait. Goodie!
Edit:I was just about to post and they called. They got here, we got the car out and I'm back where I belong.
Still not much fun. Ah well :p
I'll tell ya, though... that's why Buffalo is the friendliest city in the US, because when the car hits the snow (instead of shit and fan), everyone who can will stop and help. Yay for that. :)
OK, back to SimCity :)
