In the spaceship, the silver spaceship...
Nov. 18th, 2002 08:27 amI know I need to post something else later, but for now, a snippet of an odd dream.
I don't know why it is, but many of my dreams, lately, have been science fiction. I've dreamed about time travel and, last night, space travel.
I don't pretend to understand why, but there was a contest of some sort going on in my department, to perform some experiment in outer space.
For reasons I'm not sure of, I thought we'd have to go out past Saturn in our homemade spaceships to do that and I didn't really wanna go out that far because it would take MONTHS to get there, but in the end we only had to go out only about 2200 miles past the surface of the Earth.
Everyone in my department was doing it (keeping in mind that my department is the ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING department and not the Aerospace Engineering department).
Anyways, I was going to make a big silver spaceship.. I was thinking I needed to give it a very TMBG name (reflective of my personality, of course), and had planned on calling it the Spiralling Shape. (note: for you non-TMBG freaks a long way back... there's an OOOOLD song called Rocket Ship which never made it onto CD. What did make it, though, was some of the melody and some of the lyrics which then became the song Spiralling Shape)
One problem, though....
... I had no idea how to build a rocketship.
So I was going to go to media play and buy a book on it.
That's the snippet of my dream that I remember.
I have absosmurfly no idea what it means, but it's amusing and vaguely cool nonetheless.
