A busy day

Yesterday was... busy.
Between 10 AM and 9:30 PM I:

- Called PBS&J and spoke to Dorca and asked if she could help me find an apartment. She couldn't do more than send me an apartment guide, but I guess it's better than nothing.
- Called a buttload of apartments (all the ones from yesterday plus a few more based off of [livejournal.com profile] chrissimari's recomendations, plus whatever was in the area of the job) and found only *3* that would accept three cats (Everyone else accepted only two or, in some small cases, only 1!). (Foxfire (who was supposed to email me information and has not), University Gardens (which doesn't look all that wonderful in this picture, but I'll look at) and Cheverly Crossing.
-Call H&R Block and then had mom call H&R Block to get money out of an IRA for us. Sadly, they didn't email the form they were supposed to yet. I hope they do soon because I don't want to be chasing them down :p
-Called Jerome Williams and asked some questions - Answers are that they are NOT putting me in an Extended Stay Hotel, they're putting me in a Sheraton. He can arrange for a fridge and a microwave. He'll talk to the managers about some sort of money for food until the first check (which is March 31st) and that if I ask for the lump sum of money (like I was going to), the Federal Government would charge me a 48% tax rate! So the $1500 he offered would go down to $750-$800! Eek!
-Called many people and am confirming plans for Lasertron Gettogether Friday afternoon/evening
-Got My Federal Taxes Down - $717 directly deposited into my M&T account.. hopefully soon
-Got 5 boxes packed, 4 in the basement and one in my room (Though I may get smaller boxes and repack the one in my room. It's TOO heavy.) I have packed all but two video games, all my VHS tapes, most of my DVDs, all of my games (Chez Geek and the like), a bunch of books and all of my textbooks (another heavy box, but not as bad)
-Talked to Kristen who will take the five VHS tapes I wanna give away (Stuff I have on DVD already: TMBG Videos, UHF, Monty Python Live Specials)
-Went out to dinner with mom and stopped at Tops International for grocery type items
-Called Dad who found three cars of interest for me and asked if Josh and I could go over to Saturn and look at cars. Also, arranged for Josh to go car shopping with dad and I today, though in his own car because we're doing dinner and clothes shopping after.
-Ripped between 10 and 15 CDs to my computer
-Tested out an ooold laptop Josh used to use. It looks like he did something, though, since I'm seeing nothing on the screen.
-Sat down and watched the West Wing I recorded off of Bravo (Yay for DVR!) - This was my break!

... Wow.. even typing that all up, I think I feel shocked I DID all that.
Today's list of things to do includes..
-Vote Vote Vote!
-Go to the store (Target) and buy School of Rock for mom
-Comb through Washington Post and Baltimore Sun for appropriate apartments (most of my apartment hunting has been off of apartment showcase.comm as so far
-Get more boxes
-Pack more boxes
-Pick out a handful of books to NOT be packed
-Ask dad if I could borrow a laptop for a couple of weeks since I don't want to bring my desktop to a hotel room and then get it stolen
-Call Jerome Williams again and ask him once I put a receipt in, how long it takes for the money to come back
-Go to Saturn with Josh
-Go Car Shopping, Clothes Shopping and out to dinner with dad (Josh will be around for Car Shopping)

... God.. and I still have most of two weeks to go.
Well.. I KNEW it was going to be busy for me. At least I'm keeping up :)

Dear God, what a busy day!

So.. here is what I have and have not done.
Did:
- Got The School of Rock for mom on DVD
- Managed to lock myself out of my car
- Got 9 decent sized boxes for books
- Picked out 5 other books (besides the one I'm reading) to NOT pack into boxes.
- Packed two of the new boxes plus two big boxes of stuff with Books, Clothes, Games and Stuffed Animals
- Went with Josh to Saturn (of Clarence. Not the planet, [livejournal.com profile] trillaindork!) Saw one car I liked (and was big enough for me), but was out of my price range
- Went with dad to two dealerships... found two cars I liked.. a Grand Am and a Ford Focus ZX3 (Big red hatchback). Ended up talking the guy at Basil's down to $7575 (plus tax) on the Ford Focus and dad put $150 down on it. I will try to look around tommorow at other cars, but we need to move swiftly on the Ford Focus if we're going to get it in time and make sure it's Ok with my mechanic and has an alarm in it.
- Went to Dinner with Dad at Chili's
- Went Clothes Shopping with dad. Got 3 pairs of slacks, plus ordered 3 shirts and 2 more slacks through the catalogue.
- Got home and figure out how to go through AOL's Spam Filter to find an important email sent to mom with a form in it
- Filled out said form and am ready to FAX it off tommorow.
- Called Freddie and Ellen. Spoke to Ellen.
- Checked out Ford website and found out my car had NOT been recalled. YAY!
- Got onto Washington Post website. Found a few other possibilities to call about for apartments

What I DID not do:
- I did not Vote :p I wish I'd had a chance, but I hardly got a chance to sit down!
- Call Jerome Williams

Things I need to do tommorow
- Apartment Hunting
- Call Ford and find out if my particular model of if the Focus is being phased out and I won't be able to find parts :p
- Find my title and registration and make sure I get the appropriate info to Basil's
- Call Jerome Williams
- FAX out the forms we filled in today.
- HOPEFULLY (better) get contract, read it over, Fax a copy to Freddie.
- Pack more stuff

Note nowhere in this is things to do tommorow.. relax.. or things I did today.. relax.
Yeah, it's still pretty busy
*falls over and goes to sleep*
