Carbon Leaf was good. Definately enjoyed it much more than last time. I got into the songs I liked (including the extended opening to American Tale that I wantwantwantwantwant), and tried to at least fake it with the songs I didn't know.
I am seriously saddened that they didn't have the time to play Desperation Song (there's something about that song that REALLY appeals to me.), nor Shine.. but they did do American Tale and The Boxer and I even got into Mari Mac (still dislike their studio version. The live version is tres better.)
Kristen waited until they were taking the playlists off the stage and I helped her get one.. for it to be turned around to me with her saying "Nooooo. This one's for you. I have one already."
They had a deal on CDs.. buy Indian Summer + Two More for $40.. so Kristen got Indian Summer (I know I like one song on there that they played live, but the rest is more mellow, so I have to hear it throroughly to decide if I like it or not.) and Five Alive and I got a copy of Echo Echo.
Then since the band did come out to wander around with the fans, Kristen and I got CDs autopgraph (So Echo Echo is now superspecialcool cause it has the whole band. More super special than TMBG's "Mink Car" Where I wasn't there to get the album autopgraphed.
Terry seemed really cool and sends a "hi" to Dawn and Oli.
The rest ranged in coolness with Barry somewhere down in the low cool for being lead singer in a good band, but for looking (and acting, a little), like he was drunk throughout the concert and for having no idea who Dawn and Oli were.
Not to put too fine a point on it, I am exhausted. We pulled into the complex at 12:30 and I probably filly settled into sleep at 1:00.. and it's now 6:50 (I had to be up at 6:30)
But I'm happy cause the concert rocked and because next week I'll be seeing TMBG which will also rock and.. yeah. Rock.
So now all I need is for Kristen to bring in "Indian Summer" so I can rip it, listen to it and maybe add "This is My Song" to the Road Mix.
