*hugs* I know how difficult it can be when you wind up in a place completely foreign to you, and you're living alone and you dont know anyone. When I first moved to Minnesota I HATED it, because I was so very alone. Nothing felt comfortable or right. After a week, I really really wanted to GO HOME! It did get better though. I took up a policy of talking with strangers and saying I was new in town (this may work well if there are people at your job or in your apartment complex who look friendly). It's a little unnerving talking with strangers sometimes, but I was glad I did it afterwards because I wound up finding out about some great places and meeting some great people. I don't think a house/apartment will feel like a home right off the bat no matter where you go. . but eventually it will! Home really IS where the heart is, and after you've spent some time there and made some memories there, it will be more like a home. Stick with it! You're doing fine, and everything you're going through is normal, you just need time (time being a lot more than a week!).
