Laci was about as pregnant at the time she was killed as kareila is now. 32-34 weeks out of 40 is premie, but certainly viable with help.
He may not have smothered a newborn in a cradle, but even I who am very pro-choice will not argue that his killing his wife at that point was much closer to removing a pre-term baby from life support than it is to having an abortion.
