For the record, I wasn't upset, I was annoyed. I get annoyed much more easily. :)
Wasn't the changeover enough? The thing about parties is that you can't just say "Okay, I'm having a party now." The other people connected have to get into the spirit of it, and lately no one's in the spirit for anything other than chatting. *shrug* I think as sneaky pranks go it was successful, but I'm really not planning on changing the name to ChaoticMUSH "officially" - like you I am too used to the other. Robby just thought calling it ChaoticMUSH would turn people on to the prank. We'll probably end up like AuroraMUSH which moved from MUSH 2 to MUX way back when, but kept its old name for historical reasons.
Anyway, if us moving to MUSH 3.1 makes some people unhappy, because they prefer MUX 2.0 or hate David Passmore or whatever, I would be just as pleased to see them leave. Better that than whine at me. I just don't want people to second-guess me on how to run my own game, especially if it's someone who would never talk to me otherwise. I don't take criticism from strangers very well, and honestly, I don't know where people get the nerve. Criticism from close friends and people I trust - that's different, they understand me and my situation and aren't just parrotting "MUSH is BAD, MUX is GOOD" propaganda.
Whatever. Blah. Um, I hope you feel better. Should I hold off on any anarchist plotting or policy revisions until after you take your tests? I'd be happy to if you think it would help. Heaven knows I held off change long enough because of my own issues and you didn't complain (much).
