*sigh*
So far, I've turned up a grand total of one place in the Boston Area, an Entry-Level Environmental Engineering working with Haz Waste in Cambridge (Some placed called CDM).
I applied online(I think it was at like 5:00 this morning. Stupid cats keep waking me up.)
Dunno how long I should wait to see if they get in contact with me.
Any ideas?

Anyways, I think I got in contact with some guy in Boston who offered himself as a "mentor" for UB's Career Services last night asking for ideas where to look.
I've got a couple ideas of my own too.

I didn't expect to come up against such a tough time finding jobs, though. Especially in a big city like Boston.
Maybe I'm not looking in the right places.

Blah. I don't like Job Hunting.

I'm not sure where you've been looking dear. You should try to get a copy of the Boston classified ads (rather than just teh jobs that show up on internet search engines). Also take a look if there are any environmental engineering clubs/organizations in Boston. Usually they will have a tool for job searching. Can't think of anything else right now. My brain is fried.

I have a link to the Boston Globe's Help Wanted Ads.
I'll look into Engineering CLubs in Boston...I checked with the Club I already belong to (Water Environment Federation) already, but nothing.

*hugs* Job hunting sucks. The job market sucks - probably even in Boston, and even with degrees and such. I didn't actually know that was where you were planning to go. Can't blame you, though - it's one of my favorite cities. And it contains some of our mutually favorite people. :)

I hope something turns up, for you. I'm sure it will. *more hugs*

The third one is new. I'll check that one. The first two requires experience I don't have.
Thanks, tho! :)

Yeah... I'm leaving towards Boston for a number of reasons.
The most obvious is proximity to some of my favorite people.
The next is it's a big city with all sorts of things going on.. all my favorite artists go there (more often than they come here) and such like that.
And.. being a big city.. i figured they'd have more jobs.

See, save for the first one (that being the proximity to people), I'd have thought you'd go for NYC before Boston. Since I believe we once had a conversation where you said you preferred NYC to Boston. But I could totally be on crack.

We may have.
The living near people and being included in nifty plans is a definite reason to move there instead of NYC, though.

*grins* This makes much sense. It's also one of the many areas [livejournal.com profile] kolys and I are looking at potential transfer colleges in. :)

*laughs* If you'll recall when we had that original conversation about NYC vs. Boston, I told you I loved it there and would love to move there.

It's only one of many possibilities - the others including VA, PA, and a couple places here in NY.

And if I were following you, why did I move /away/ from Buffalo, instead of staying there when I had the opportunity? :)
