A good couple days

No particular reason, in some cases, just in a good mood.
Maybe it's because it's spring. Maybe it's because I have brand new Fruvous to listen to (yay, Kar!) or maybe it's because... well, I'll tell ya later *secretive*
First off, I'd like to send a BIG THANK YOU to
kareila. I finally got her CDs. I really didn't expect Kar to BUY the new Indigo Girls for me. I assumed you'd just burn me a copy. Thank you! I'll listen to it probably tonite (enjoying the Cake Mix atm. Yay, Cake!)
I've been enjoying the Patricia Wrede books I bought. I originally bought a book with
kareila,
alierak and
trillain at Kar's suggestion. She said it got a high score from her, as well as from
soreth. So I read it and thoroughly enjoyed it.. and went and got the other three books. I'm on the third now. It's an amusing series.
I am now playing fetch with Bandit. I didn't think cats played fetch.
I'm serious! I throw his little ladybug toy.. he runs after it, pounce on it and brings it back and I throw it again. Does he knows cats don't play fetch? Apparently not.
Wadda dork. Oh well.. at least he's cute! :)
So.. there was some sort of wellness faire in the student union today. Included in the faire was a Tanita scale which supposedly reads body fat with a standard deviation of 5%. So I was curious and stepped on it. According to the Tanita Scale, I am 27.5% body fat (The normal range supposedly being 10% - 25%)
That is, with the standard deviation.. my fat percentage is anywhere between 22.5% - 32.5%. I wish I had a starting body fat to compare that to.
I mean, I've been estimating I lost at least 50 lbs. of fat with some unknown amount of muscle added (wish I knew how much), so it'd be cool to know if, for example, my body fat went from 35 to 27.5 or.. whatever...
I KNOW I lost alot.
Ah well.
The fact that I'm near normal weight was uplifting and I feel all the better cause of it. Actually, I'm in a really good mood and I suspect that's part of why.
I also had a really good work out today. It's difficult to jog/run for a full half an hour, but when I do it, I'm quite proud of myself. I did the full half hour jogging and half hour on the elliptical, which is good.
Now if I'd start losing the weight again, I'd be all the happier!
I can't wait until Spring Vacation. Even if I don't officially have off.
