I've been exhausted all weekend and into today.
I know why. I got very little sleep all of last week (between too hot and humid weather and being woken up at 5:15 - 5:30 by my evil little Mouse), culminating in maybe four or five hours of sleep Friday night. So Saturday I was so exhausted, it was almost funny.
Got a LITTLE extra sleep on Sunday, but was still exhausted. Went to bed early, only to wake up at, like, 4:30 this morning and struggle with sleep till about 6:30 :P
*sighs*

So, we went to the beach Saturday for the CanAm Party hosted by the families of my uncle and his best friend, gary. It was.. OK. Not spectacular. I was exhausted through most of it and I'm just not, altogether, thrilled with being at the beach, ya know? The food was good and they did something they haven't done in YEARS, races for kids.
Let me expound on this. Back in ye old days, every year around July 4th, there was a semi-big party. There'd be a bonfire and fireworks (usually brought over by Bernie, my aunt's brother-in-law ) and races. Over time, all of these traditions sort of fell apart. People complaiend about the bonfire and no one wanted to stay until it totally burned out, and that was gone. People complained about the fireworks (Wouldn't want to hurt any kids cause, you know, you OBVIOUSLY can't watch your own children and make sure they DON'T "Help" set them off, you moronic whiners) and the races... Lester, the guy who used to run them, passed on and no one took them over. So, I found it nice to see my cousin, Jaime, running the races. Jaime's one of the people who will stay with the center for a long time. The beach means about as much to her as ChaoticMUX mean to me, I suspect.
The best part about the races is that everyone wins. Whether you won the race or not, you get to win a prize. Mind you, the prize are all small things.. aliens that stick on a wall, notepads, $1 games... the kind of stuff that kids love to play with, despite the cheap price!
Ah, to be young again.

Yesterday was the Taste of Buffalo. That was good! Josh and I wandered up and down, tasting this, tasting that. Well, I did more eating than him. Actually, that idiot managed to lose like $7 in tickets, possibly at the Tops stand. Idiot. But it was good and I enjoyed myself and I think Josh did (though, for him, I think he just hates being at home. He'd rather be out on the town doing.. stuff.)

What else?
Plans finalizing for Darien Lake. I am most excited. :D Unless someone else jumps in and says "I'd like to be a part of Darien Lake and I don't need anyone to give me a place to sleep for the night", we have 13 people coming (11 ChaoticMUXers, and my brother and a friend.).
11 ChaoticMUXers will be converging on Darien Lake. *fears and exciteds*
Also, plans are finally underway to get us each nifty t-shirts to wear around Darien Lake :D [livejournal.com profile] doubletake is sketching out t-shirt ideas. She felt confident that she could get them done before [livejournal.com profile] xb95 heads out to Buffalo. She'll get them done by the same place that did the Seattle shirts, which means we have to sell about 24 of them (that's the minimum number), but I'm fairly confident that we can sell them on Chaotic. Once [livejournal.com profile] doubletake has a sketch or two, I'll probably advertise them and see who's interested.

Not a whole lot else to report. I'll talk to y'all latahz!
Baibai!

If I had lived 4500 years ago, I would have been...

an Egyptian!

One of the first civilizations (and also the longest lasting) was Egypt. Most famous for the
gigantic tombs of stone called the pyramids, they also established many things that we take for granted today: a 365
day calender, paper, and basic arithmetic to name a few.

When you want something done, you get it done! You're very determined and practice at things until you like the result.
Chances are you're a perfectionist, but hey, that's a good thing!
