Chicago, my kind of town...
Oct. 1st, 2002 10:48 amOi, I'm tired.
So, Chicago was good. I really like it there. I can see myself living there one day. I have a day by day account I'll probably post later (when not at school), but for now, I'll give the basics as I vaguely recall.
I had a good time. I got... a fair amount of free crap, little to no sleep and, oh, we won the design competition! :)
Oh, and perhaps most importantly of all, the representatives from Parsons seemed genuinely interested in me.
I got to see alot of Downtown Chicago. I SAW the Sears Tower. I went into and up to the 96th floor of the John Hancock Building (You haven't seen Chicago until you've seen it from the top of the John Hancock building (and perhaps the Sears Tower if you can go that high.)
I can't help but being totally reminded of SimCity throughout the weekend. I swear alot of SimCity was built and designed BASED on Chicago. Tres cool, that. (And Tres Geek, I...)
The only unfortunate part of the weekend was that I was, perhaps, the only non-drinker there and perhaps the only person who needs about 7 or 8 hours of sleep. I was not the least bit interested in bar-hopping until 2 or 3 AM, while the other students were. So I ended up getting left in the hotel the one time and ended up leaving early the other time.
I think I might have had a better time with one or two of you guys there. Or at least someone who would perhaps go and explore the city with me instead of bar-hopping or whatever.
That said, I still enjoyed myself and had a good time, but I'm dead tired at the moment.
I'll post the day-by-day perhaps tonite.
But for now, back to work.. and maybe I'll sneak a nap in before class.
( Some quizzes )
