My brother (Josh) heard they were going to have a "Sale" on pets at the SPCA. Anyone not bought will be put to sleep. So, being the IDIOT he is and my mom being the IDIOT she is, the two, despite my telling them NOT TO.. went to the SPCA to adopt a NEW kitten!
This will make it 6 when the new guy comes out.
6 cats!
I'm sure I'll love the little guy (it is a male, named Gershwin, I guess), that's not the problem. I love our 5 cats now. But 5 cats is TOO MANY and my mom has even agreed to this fact, but STILL she's OK with getting a new one.
The problem with my mom is she's a sucker for a kitten. My mother, I swear, has no concept of the fact that when she adopts, she isn't just adopting a kitten for a year, but a cat for life!
I dunno. I plan, when I leave, to take Smokey and Cleo ONLY. I'm pretty certain I really don't want to take 3 with me when I leave. That's too many for me and my mother will have to accept this.
Argh.
There are 20 reasons why we shouldn't have gotten no more cats. We have a SMALL house that, I swear, seems even smaller when we bring in new pets and cats are notoriously territorial. Every time we get a new kitten, it throws EVERYONE into a funk (accept for the humans, of course, who think the kitten is a riot.)
Not to mention the high costs of cat food and litter and toys and...
I'll be damned if I pay for his cat. I have enough problems keeping up with playing for 2 1/2 cats. I am NOT paying for 3.
ARGH!
