Winter Wonderland?

Winter Wonderland my ass.
Anyone who knows winter like I know winter knows what a crock of shit that is...
As you no doubt realized by reading the livejournals of
tallin,
phinnia and
dawnstar, it snowed here.
I can honestly say it's snowed in Amherst for over 12 hours (I'd guesstimate 16 or 17 hours). The band keeps drifting up and down, but seems to continue to hit out general area. :p
And of course, they cancelled neither Buffalo Schools, UB or NCCC, so we're all at school/work.
At least we have spaghetti ready for dinner tonite. No going out for us.
Speaking of, I might still kill Josh.
We nearly killed him last night.
He has this course, see, where he has to go to five concerts and because he was so busy with his musical and all, he let them go till the very last minute. Because of that and the fact that he doesn't want to drive downtown to see the BPO, he found a concert he felt he has to go to in the Eastern Hills Mall area (that's Clarence, a spot that got more snow than the rest of us, of course).
Both mom and I begged him not to go, but Josh is a stubborn stubborn person (and rather stupid, I might add) and felt he could handle the bad weather, so we gave him directions and we told him to take his cell phone and begged him to keep his eye on the weather and come home if it starts looking really bad.
Three hours later, he calls.. he's at Denny's with some of his classmates. He didn't find the right church and left his car at another church and got a bus to the right church. He left his phone in the car and, by the way, things are so bad he's not confident driving home anyways.
My mom nearly hit the roof, but calmly instead told him to find a hotel room to stay the night. He said he had no money. She said to have them call her and she'll give her credit card number.
He calls back later to say he's coming home with one of his classmates, a girl whose name I didn't get who was headed up to Wheatfield where the storm was currently centered. After begging her to stay the night instead of driving into the storm, she left...
Mom let him had it, for being stupid enough to go in the first place, for not leaving early, for not taking the hotel room and for not taking his cell phone with him (he left it in the car)
So Josh may die yet.
Idiot.
Not much else. Still snowing pretty hard here in Amherst... and blowing too, of course.
I didn't sleep well last night, between waiting up for Josh who finally got home about midnight and just waking up about 5 and not being able to sleep, I'm tired, so I may go home early, if I can
