Well...
The more I watch the coverage of the war, the more disgusted I am.
What we're doing is WRONG.
Not just the fact that we've invaded Iraq and seem to be intent on taking their oil (which reminds me, I have an article I REALLY want to post here when I get it again)
But the careless killing of your average-day Iraqi citizens.
The Iraqi military is being beaten heads on by the huge mass of American Warriors. This is not really a shock. So they have to result to guerilla tactics. And the administration and press refer to these tactics as terrorists.
These are NOT terrorist actions. These are the actions of desperate people trying to protect their homes.
Could YOU imagine trying to get by when someone was at war with your country? Can you imagine your food and water supplies being cut off, being unable to sleep at night because of the constant bombing of our buildings by the enemy? The loss of television? Electricity? Communications? The loss of security as the enemy sweeps through your towns and cities, takes over and establishes themselves there?
This war is supposed to be about the disarmament of Iraq? Disarmament of what? We've taken over about half of Iraq and found NOTHING. No Weapons of mass destruction have been used on our troops or Israel. I'm beginning to suspect that there is NOTHING THERE to use.
Meanwhile, we killed 7 women and children in a van because they wouldn't stop at a checkstop.
Meanwhile, we go through people's homes and arrest them because they MIGHT be Army Personnel or Paramilitary.
We're NOT the liberators. We're the terrorists!
And what's most upsetting is... we support it.
We're OK with being terrorists! We're OK with the war!
Everyone supports the tyrannical reign of the US.
Bloody bloody hell.
