My Thursday
Aug. 22nd, 2003 11:30 amYesterday was an.. interesting day, again.
Mom's got the Saturn. Everyone's gotten a ride in it but me, and I'm sure I'll get one soon. Thank god the phone's stopped ringing every five minutes, though. That was damned annoying.
Went roleplaying... rather, I went to the place where I would have roleplayed, but we didn't actually rp. As some of you know (if you read my LJ at all), I was less than thrilled with the last time we Roleplayed and had seriously considered quitting. As it turned out, I just did not feel like roleplaying today. I'm a little uncertain whether I actually want to roleplay this particular campaign anymore. So I brought Curses! over and we played that and a couple of other games until just after 10:00 at which point I was tired and I went home for the night.
Two interesting points about the night:
1) I managed to lock my keys in my car. I don't do this very often, but I do it occasionally. So I got a ride home wih Todd (the GM)'s little brother Scott, grabbed an extra key and drove back to Todd's house. Along the way, we ended up talking about all sorts of things.. new rp systems, computer games he's into.. and the current campaign. He confirmed that he wasn't thrilled with the campaign either, though for slightly different reasons (He feels Todd's added alot of otherwise stupid rules and then dropped them). It was just good to know that I was not the only one not entierly satisfied with the roleplaying experience (and given that the two of us are currently the only regulars in the game, that's a bad thing.)
2) Todd's going to restart the game soon, different universe, different characters (0 level D&D characters) on weekends. I told him that I didn't think I could make it. I sited the fact that my weekends were a lot more busy now that I had
ecwoodburn. What I was thinking was "No way in hell. I'm not interested in doing this with you again." Sadly, I suspect that I will eventually miss roleplaying again soon, but I definately need a new GM.
ecwoodburn is coming down today and staying the weekend. Yay! ^^
We're going to see if we can make a start on working through some of the problems we've been having.
What else? *thinks* Got a nice loud annoying thunderstorm that kept waking me up.
I was having some sort of dream in between the thunder where there were evil Native American spirits and they were out to get me.
But then I semi-woke up and forced myself to change the mental channel.
Still tired, though. Especially since I was up at 5:00 and never got back to sleep. Will definately try to nap before Kristen gets here.
Not much else I feel the need to say. So I shall post.
