VP Debate

Well, I was wrong. I admit it.

I think BOTH VP Nominees did a good job yesterday. Biden, for Joe Biden, was fairly restrained. He didn't, I think, talk down to Palin or Bully her.

Palin was able to come up with at least intelligible answers (the intelligence of the answers can be debated, but.. that's neither here nor there.)

So I'd say both succeeded.

Though I have to say I was less than enthused at Gwen Ifil's questions. They felt weak and neutered. I expected something closer to Tim Russert. But.. oh well.

PS... I don't believe for a second we REALLY got to see how Joe Biden thinks or how Sarah Palin thinks. I think they both read from scripts and talking points. No more, no less. I didn't really expect less, though.

Also, it's NUCLEAR! NUKE-LEE-ER. Not NUKE-YOU-LAR.
And were you REALLY winking at Biden, Governor? Seriously?

Also, why did Joe Biden Channel Bob Dole? ("Joe Biden is a great friend of Israel.")
