I keep looking at weather.com and what I see is... it just looks like tonight and tommorwo are going to be nasty fucking weather. Winter Weather Advisory, High Wind Warning, Severe Weather Outlook. I'm hearing Lake Effect Snow and possible Blizzard-like conditions (mostly because of the wind)
Basically it looks like getting to Rochester shouldn't be terrible, but coming home COULD potentially be tricky. I briefly considered asking Kristen if I could stay at her house until Friday (which I imagine she would have OK'd), but I'm not sure I trust that the weather will necessarily get better.
So... I'm going to stay home.
For those of you who have UNHELPFULLY chosen to explain why they, themselves, would go anyways... yes, it is entierly possible that the weather does not get as bad as I am afraid it might. This might be the wrong choice. But... for better or for worse, it seems like the best choice at the time.
So.. to [livejournal.com profile] dawnstar, [livejournal.com profile] kolys and [livejournal.com profile] ecwoodburn... have a great time at the concert. I'll be thinking about you.
I'm going to try and busy myself so I don't sulk and think about how much I despise Buffalo, Lake Effect Snow and winter as a whole.
Maybe work on some new LJ pictures or something.

Edit: It is now past 6:00. I should have been in Rochester now. I'm not. I was checking weather.com and it seems like snow or rain won't be the problem, but 35 mph wind still worries me. With my luck, I'd be caught on the thruway with horizontal snow/rain and little to no visibility. This sucks. I wish I knew for certain if that were true or not. Then I'd feel better about my choice not to go.
*sighs* This sucks.

That sucks. I'm really sorry.

I think I will be around after dinner... if so I will do my best to entertain you.

That would be cool. I don't know what she's planning to do, but whatever it is, I hope she doesn't plan on trying to drag me around the city, becasue I don't feel up to that.

Weather is bad. Was it driving in it, or just general travelling in bad weather that was making getting to Rochester bad?

I'm a kinda all-weather person I suppose. I didn't have much chance to disagree with a driving lesson in 60mph winds with snow and ice, it comes with the lay of the land. Same with night driving, it's all one and the same to me I guess. Andy's dad is much more cautious, and won't drive if the weather is bad, won't travel pretty much. I think it's sensible. I had to fight through drifting snow to get to Uni over winters, and the amount of times I nearly got stuck on my own was stupid.

I don't tend to drive, or travel, in bad weather now unless it's urgent. It aint worth it generally.
