So, yeah, I didn't get to see BnL two days ago, but I did go to the Buffalo Chips today at UB. I forgot my pen at home, so I don't have a set list, but that's OK.
The opening band was the Syracuse Mandarins, an all-female a capella group. They did two Beatles song: 'Help!' and 'Yesterday', they did an amusing version of 'Baby One More Time' that sounded like a church choir and a real nifty funked up version of 'Straight Up' by Paula Abdul. Also, their ending song was 'I Will Survive' They were really good. A couple of times, the singer made me tingle. Hee. :)
I thought there'd be a break in between, but I WAS WRONG! :o
So The Buffalo Chips came on. I don't remember or recognize everything they did, but let me tell you about the highlights.
They started off with an OK version of 'The Longest Time'. They have five newbies and some of them were dead on and some of them were obviously having bad nights, but that's OK.
In no particular order, they did 'King Of Spain' (hee :D), 'It's All Been Done' (Sadly, not It's All Been Ducked, the 'Rubby Ducky' style parody, which surprised and saddened me, but that's OK. They got me in the encore), 'Wonderwall', 'Clocks' (Yes, by Coldplay. My new favorite song by them. Dammit, it was awesome!). 'It's So Hard To Say Goodbye...', 'Africa', 'Good Old Acapella', 'Drift Away'.. uh.. trying to remember what else. I loved most of the songs they did and I was really stoked. Some of them were OK versions, some outstanding :)
At the Encore, I was wondering what Rubber Ducky they'd do.. they did a Rubber Ducky version of 'Basket Case' by Green Day that had me practically falling out of my seat :)
So the concert was lots of fun and I really enjoyed it :)
*g* Yay concert! :D
