I just realized this morning that being in the Washington area means I can finally go see The Capitol Steps Live! :) That would be cool :)

new carrolton is nice..
but you should also look into Takohma Park or Silver Spring
The former being where I would totally like to live if I moved down there.

dunno if you've looked at any of these yet, but you might want to check out this site (http://www.apartmentreviews.net/read-reviews-state.cfm?state=md) for some reviews on local apartments. There are a lot of online apartment review sites that are worth looking at. Multiple bad reviews on one place can save you a trip!

Also, make sure to check out that states landlord-tenant laws before you move in so you know your rights. Soooo many renters never read that document and think they have way more/less rights then they really do.
