A mostly good day

hkellickThe day has been... mostly good. Up until I got home.
Woke up at 6:30 and checked phone and... I dunno why but the phone didn't recharge over night. I replugged it in.. it started to recharge.. and just stopped. What the heck? So I moved the charger to a different outlet
Was at work on time and the plan was to work from 8 - 6 (including a half an hour for lunch).
Got into work and finished up a few things that had been left on my desk after I left
Things got a little tense when I checked the schedule and found two 316-ACK letters that were due.. one today and one last Friday. I didn't know about either.
I didn't freak out, though.. just went to work.. and, ya know what? At the end of the day, I had, in fact, finished both of them.
Yay me!
Left work at 6:00, looked at cellphone and managed to miss a call from Verizon at about 1:30.. oops.
Went to Safeway to get stuff including Perogies, but no Perogies to be seen. Ah well.
Came home and there were three messages, two from Verizon: one looking for me, the other saying my DSL problems were fixed.
So I check my DSL.. uh... no?
I call Verizon and ask what the heck is going on. They tried to come by but didn't get a hold of me and didn't bother to try to get to the office. (What's with idiots not going through the office? I hope this isn't some pathetic ongoing problem where I say go to the office and no one does :p )
So they wrote up another trouble ticket and now I may have to wait until Thursday to get DSL *annoy* They just had better go to the office next time :p
Then I log onto AIM, check my email and there's a... less than happy letter from Cousin Freddie who IS still pissed about this weekend. Joy :p
Some of what he has to say is fair. Like the part where I didn't have directions to the truck dropoff spot (I hadn't thought of it) or where I gave him an untaped box with his airmattress in it (I had the tape, but I was too busy trying to get things together, I didn't think of taping it).
Some of what he said is not fair.
I hope eventually we can forgive each other for this weekend. :p
So.. that's my night as so far. I was thinking of playing The Sims, but we'll see...
