Me too me too
Jan. 20th, 2005 08:02 amOK, I give up.
I'm sick :p
I've been fighting this thing for at least the last 48 hours, possibly 36.
I've waged war against it with Vitamin C pills, Multivitamins, homemade Chicken Barley Soup, Homemade Veggie Noodle Soup and various juices.
And yet, I'm still borderline sick.
Thank god I'm not VERY sick, it's not a DEBILITATING Sick. I can do more than wander around the house aimlessly and blow my nose.
But I sound like someone mowed over my vocal chords, I'm coughing and my nose is randomly drippy, especially when I just wake up.
And to add insult to injury, it's not bad enough that I'm USUALLY up at 5:30 in the morning (I don't get why. I wake up, I'm exhausted all day, I go to bed around ten and then I'm STILL up the next day at 5:30, even more tired. This is why I tend to sleep all weekend :p ), but this morning I woke up at 4:00.
And after an hour and some of tossing and turning, only then did I give up on sleeping.
Someone just kill me now :p

Date: 2005-01-20 10:00 pm (UTC)I remember the same thing happened to me my freshman year. Even on weekends, I'd get MAYBE 6 hours of sleep on a good night, less on a bad. Once I was awake at really-friggin-early-o'clock, I couldn't get back to sleep. I would often wake up before my alarm, and sometimes I would wake up repeatedly in a morning to check my clock to make sure I hadn't slept through the alarm (I never did).
Eventually, I figured out it was stress. I didn't FEEL too stressed, but looking back, I definitely was. Being a freshman at WPI was a lot of work. I think your job and your new life are also probably very stressful, just as a general state of things. I did try various relaxation techniques, but they didn't make an impact. Eventually, it settled down simply because I got used to my life. I hope the same happens to you.
