I think this will be good for both of you. I know you both tend to talk to a third party when things get rough. I think the counselor will really just be the same thing.

The key, with therapy, is really finding someone you feel comfortable with. If you don't feel comfortable, very little progress can really be made because you won't be able to be as open and honest as is really necessarily in a therapy/counseling situation. At least, that's been my finding.
