Well, since the majority of you have taken it by now, I shall now dispense the answers (with amusing commentary) to the friendtest.
Question 1: My favorite band
Luckily, the majority of you got this one right. The answer is, of course, They Might Be Giants. I do love the other four (Cake, The Beatles, Weird Al and Billy Joel), but TMBG is my all-time favorite and has been for years.
Question 2: Which of the following is not one of my songs.
Well, each of the answers were picked. For those of you who didn't cheat and go to mp3.com, I congratulate you for your honesty. I strongly suggest that each of you go there, now, who got the answer wrong, and listen to my music!
Otherwise, no cookies for you!
Oh, and the answer is "Rock the Rhythm" which is actually part of a sound clip to "Keep on Dancing". The rest are all real songs.
Question 3: When did I start MU**ing. The majority of you got this question right. I indeed started MU**ing as a freshman in college back in 1993. Luckily, none of you picked 1999... I don't think one can consider 1999 oldbie'ish enough.
Question 4: My ideal weight
I am shocked and ashamed that more of my LJ friends didn't get this one right. I know I've posted it. The answers were skewed towards the lower numbers which means y'all have gotten the idea that I'm trying to reach a healthy weight instead of overweight.
The answer is I hope to reach 200.
Question 5: Which city have I not visited.
The majority of you, apparently, weren't around for the period of my life when I was dating Medwyn. Medwyn was a wicca girl I met online who happened to live in San Fran. I went to visit her in the summer of 99 in San Fran.
I hear from a reliable source that the majority of you picked San Fran because it was on the west coast where the others were on the East coast.
I'm glad none of you picked New York City. I was JUST there. Nor did any of you pick Boston which is also good since I've been there a couple times to visit
kareila and
alierak.
Washington DC I visited as a senior in high school.
Which leaves Atlanta as the answer. Of course, I was SUPPOSED to visit Atlanta last year for an environmental conference, but i was poor and the tickets were expensive, so I didn't go.
Question 6: Which is not the name of one of my cats.
It boggles the mind that 10 of the 22 people who took my test fail to believe we have a cat named Cleo. We do. She's a 3 year old tabby who likes to be under covers and in high places and lick people's hair.
1 of you thought that Bandit is not the name of one of my cats. That person should be beaten by a large stick since obviously said person does not read my LJ. Bandit is the name of the kitten.
5 of you believed that Mouse is not the name of one of my cats. We do, indeed, have a cat named Mouse, a 3 year old Siamese mix. His real name was Zeus, but when he came home, he looked more like a pathetic little mouse than a cat, and so he got stuck with the name Mouse (or Mousey)
All of you knew that Smokey was, indeed, my cat. Smokey is MY cat... one of the two that Marc brought over and left here. She's taken to sleeping in my bed and, basically, attaching herself to me often.
Which leaves the real answer, Phantom. Actually, if Mystery had been a boy, we were going to call her Phantom. But she as a girl and Phantom seems an odd name for a girl.
Question 7: LITE's Major
All four of the REAL answers were my major at one point or another.
I started as a Comp Sci major, back in 93. Decided I didn't want to debug and tried something else.
In 94, I was an Aerospace Engineer. I remained in Aerospace Engineering until 97, mostly screwing around because it wasn't interesting and I didn't know what to do.
In 97, I switched to Civil Engineering, following the Environmental Track. That is until 99 when Environmental Engineering became it's own major.
And so, the answer is..Environmental Engineering, which the majority of you got.
Question 8: My favorite soda
Despite the misconception by certain people (*cough*
kareila*cough*) that this was supposed to be a supertricky question, it never was. The answer is Dr. Pepper. It has always been my favorite. I *DO* prefer Pepsi to Coke, but I prefer Dr. Pepper to both.
Question 9: My sign
Well, let's go through this one logically.
I'm born August 11, 1975.
The sign for July 23rd to August 23rd is... Leo!
And that is what I am... and the majority (9 of you) figured that out.
The rest of you apparently just guessed.
Question 10: My favorite animal.
The majority of you knew that the Wolf is my favoite animal. I DO adore cats and I believe that each of the listed animals rock in their own way, but Wolf is my favorite.
Also, for the heck of it..
