So... with luck...

As I've spoken before about, a new FEMA Contract is scheduled to begin in..
about a week and a half.

As I've said before as well.. despite this fact, and despite the fact that
we know that our team (my company, another company and two (?)
subcontractors) have won a certain amount of work, the distribution of said
work once the contract begins is, as of yet, unknown to us. No idea how
it'll all fall out with my company, or with any other company.

This fact makes me REALLY edgy. Not just me either, I know. I've heard
unsubstantiated rumors, which I won't post publicly at this time (my name's
on the journal, as is the company name, so I'm trying to approach this with
caution...)

What irks me, mostly, is the not knowing.

Supposedly, there was a Very Big phone conference yesterday. With LUCK
today.. we'll all know. I REALLY hope so.

Moving on...
Official Weigh-in Day was today. I am now at 269.8. That means I've lost
about 1.2 lbs. in the last week. *shrugs* OK. :) It's a loss. :) I am not
displeased. :)

In other news today, this one I had to share.
Walmart is now offering a Sims 3 LAVA
Lamp to anyone who preorders online with them. I, of course, have
previously preordered, but I must admit a USB-based Lava Lamp is pretty
freakin' neat.

And that's really all I have to talk about today.

With luck, the first thing I posted about is resolved and I post a
friends-locked post later!

Well, I hope I'm one of the people from CC you want to keep in touch with, but if not, let me know. I'm sure you noticed that I dropped out of chat myself a couple of months ago. Mostly due to work, but also for other reasons. I pop in once in a while, but I don't follow the discussions like I used to. Well, anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I understand where you're coming from because I've felt the same way for many months... in that CC is missing something and the snarky opinions are a bit much at times. I plan on being at the June meetup, so I hope you'll consider being there. Josh still talks about going putt-putt racing and we've promised to take him when the weather is warmer.
