Most Supreme Court decisions seem to be, in general, five to four. The fact that the last decision regarding strip searches was actually 8 to 1 was, I thought, far more noteworthy.
I'm not the least bit surprised, however, the five conservative judges sided with the firefighters and the four liberal judges sided with the city.
