I'm impressed.
I'm really impressed.
Even if we did lose :/
We need to work on our special teams :/
That was certainly the fastest overtime I ever seen...

In other news, would you people please get over September 11th already? It happened a year ago. Yes, it was terrible. Yes, I know about all those dead innocents, but MOVE ON already.
And above all, stop plastering it in every news program, every magazine, every internet site and every newspaper.
Understand, it's not that I'm sympathetic to the fact that these people are still out there. And I do agree that we need to remember what September 11th means... but it should be a private memory, not one where people only affected distantly can gnash their teeth and shake their heads and think about the poor innocent people they they could never BEGIN to identify with.
September 11th should be a day of private thought and prayer, not a day of Media Blitzes and "9/11: One Year Later".
Hell, Pearl Harbor got less of a Media Blitz than this...

I would have to disagree. As unfortunate as it can be -- but this can't be a debate without the other side wouldn't it? This is friendly though so if anything gets out hand after I post this I will take it down. I don't mean to offend anyone who will read this arguement. I do think media blasting and everything about September 11th -- is a little bit harsh, but I feel that we should be reminded everyday about what happened so we don't forget that there are people out there who hate america and would do anything and I do me anything to see freedom, liberty, and peace fall into the flames. That is why we shouldn't exactly move on -- but take action. Back in 93 when the towers were bomb -- who do you think did that? Probably the same group of people. What happened after it died down? People forgot all that happened and they carried on as they should, but when people forget what others can do -- that is when disaster strikes. America somehow thought it was imortal, and what September 11th taught me was we aren't. That is what it should have taught America. We aren't imortal, and we will never be. We should always be on our guard and defend what we believe in from the cowards that want to take it away. That is how I feel. :) I don't mean to offend anyone, I just wanted to have a debate. ^_^

Hmmm... No, I refuse to believe that even the stupidest of Americans are going to forget. Especially when the headlines keep reminding us everyday with "Should we attack Iraq?" and "Osama bin Laden still out there".

And how would you like to remind people every day of what happened without it getting really old really fast?
Heck, alot of the media coverage HAS gotten really old really fast which is why there was, by and large, more agreement to this post than not.

I agree that 1993 should have been a wake-up call.. so should have the Embassy bombings and the Cole... but that said.. I don't think 9/11 will just drift out of memory.

I think, by and large, all of America will remember 9/11.
Just like we all remember the importance of Pearl Harbor 50-some years later.
But I still suggest that it should be a day for people to realize, individually or in small family units, what 9/11 means to them, an individual day of reflection.. not a large nation-wide day of unpointed nationalism.
I, for one, plan on spending 9/11 like the other days of the week.. going to work, going to school.. maybe a little introspective, but otherwise totally normal.
