Job Search Jitters
Apr. 28th, 2003 12:48 pmIt's silly. I KNOW it's silly.
But I'm a little afraid of LOOKING for a job.
I WANT a job. I want to get out of the house and to work, but I'm a little worried.
Worried I'm not sure what I'm doing.
I'm not sure where to look, for one.
I know I want a job in the Boston area, for a number of reasons: It's far enough away from Buffalo but close enough if I want to visit for holidays or such, I have friends live there, it's a beautiful and vibrant city (even if I'll probably be one of the only Bills fans in the entire city. Go Bills! But that'll be our little secret, right? ;) ).
Thanks to
kareila *lovelovelove*, I have the webpage of the Boston Globe want ads.
And I plan to, tonite or tommorow, do a google search on "Entry Level Environmental Engineer Boston" and hope I get some leads.
But then.. next part. If I find leads, what then?
My resume's pretty spiffy and I'm getting professionals to look at it today. I can also get help on writing cover letters and interviews.
What things should I look for in a company? What questions should I ask THEM?
Heh. This is silly. I know I'll find a good job (I mean, the economy's bad, but EVERYONE's looking for entry-level positions, right?!?! *worryhopeworry*)
