So I haven't made time to really talk about how my birthday was. It's not that my birthday was boring so much as the fact that

Sunday
Sunday, two things of interest happened.. Todd's Pool party and the Gallagher Show.
Todd's Pool Party started about 1:00. Of course, I was there about 8 minutes early so as I was Todd's guest and had nothing else to do, I got suckered into helping set up. No problem.
There was lots of good food (mmm... I tried stuffed hot peppers. Delicious, if bloody spicy!) and the people there seemed nice enough, but I didn't know anyone but Todd and his family and spent a fair amount of time being shy. On the plus side, I got to spend time in Todd's Hot Tub. Mmmm.. Hot Tub! :D Also, on the plus, Todd's little brother Scott was also feeling shy and we spent a fair amount of time talking about stuff like D&D 3.5 and Knights of the Old Republic (Scott has many amusing stories :) ), so it wasn't terrible.
At 7:30, we left for the Gallagher show.
When we got there, there was Gallagher, signing autographs, which I thought was very classy. :)
I get a Gallagher video, get into my way too cramped seat and wait for the show.
At 8:15, Gallagher comes in, goes up to the stage and states that he is the opener! So he spends 20 or 25 minutes flinging mostly candy (some grapes and some carrots too) into the audience. Which, worked very well as an opener as it seemed to amuse everyone. :)
At 8:45 he came on to start the real show. I won't break down into everyrthing he did and all the jokes he did, but he was funny as heck. He spent some time going on about how stupid people are and how he's running for governor with the idea that they should use helicopters to get breakdown off the freeway and he picked on the kids alot. :) Actually, he picked on everyone.. people came in late and he yelled at them (teasingly), kids acted.. kidlike and he went on about girls with boys names and boys with their pants so low he could see their underwear.
The show ended about 11:00 and I had mayo in my hair, relish on my shirt and a big grin on my face. It was such a great time. I could tell he was enjoying himself and I had really enjoyed him. So I went home, took a shower and went to bed, glad to have gone to the concert. I'll go see Gallagher again in an instant :) This time, with a garbage bag or plastic or something to protect myself! :D

Monday - My Birthday
My Birthday started at 3:30 by being nudged awake by a very insistent little Mouse who demanded attention or feeding or some such. I looked at the time, snipped at him and turn and went back to sleep... or tried to. Think I finally gave up at 3:45 or so when Baby decided to get into the act.
Crawled out of bed, and checked my email. There was an ecard from [livejournal.com profile] dustkitten an one from [livejournal.com profile] kareila with a "gift certificate" from Amazon. Yay! ^^ Thank you, [livejournal.com profile] dustkitten and [livejournal.com profile] kareila!
Next, I logged onto Chaotic to hear [livejournal.com profile] kholnuu and [livejournal.com profile] jariel about a game called Alter Ego. I played for a while and thought it was fairly amusing. Then at 5:30 I fed the demoncats and went back to bed, only to wake up at 9:00 and run out the door to be on time for work.
Worked for a while, ended up playing Alter Ego a little, then went home. On the door was a package from Marc with a birthday greeting on it. He called while I was at work and I called him back. I opened up the package and it was a princess Leia (from the Jabba's Palace scene) and a gift certificate for $18.36 from Media Play. O... K.. :)
Finally caught up with Marc who wished me happy birthday. We talked for a few minutes.
Then it was on to the waiting game. I think I played Zoo Tycoon while waiting on [livejournal.com profile] ecwoodburn to finish her family photos and come over. She was over by about 5:30 and off we went to dinner at Lebro's, a little Italian restaurant, while the rain poured around us. We had a semi-quiet dinner until about 6:30 when everyone poured in and we could hardly hear each other talk.
Came home about 7:10 and waited for my friend Dave and his Fiancee Carol to show up, which they did.
We talked for a while, played DDR a while (well, Carol and I played DDR. Kristen and Dave watched, considered playing, never got around to it)
About 8:00 or so, Dad came over to bring me.. a PRESENT! (GASP!) This is a serious shock for me, because they rarely do much for my birthday. I got a $50 check and some decent clothes. A few minutes later, Josh and mom come home and Josh shows me his present.. an animotronic cat that sings Zoot Suit Riot (Apparently, this was my mom's idea. What a dork those two are :) )
So, between DDRage and getting to see my Kristen and cool presents, it was a really nice (if fairly quiet) birthday :)
One other thing of important happened Monday. Josh has been chasing this girl for over a year but she's never actually gone out with him (except as friends). Apparently he fell into the "Just Friends" crack. Anyways, I guess she called over the weekend, Josh finally got back to her Friday and found out she's been seeing someone for three weeks. And he's... extremely unhappy about it. He wandered off for a drive Monday just to clear his head and to try and talk to his friend. Unfortunately, that didn't work as well as he'd hoped and he went to bed heartbroken and upset.

Tuesday
Yesterday was quiet and not spectacular. Joshua woke up feeling.. better if not great. Mom spent some time trying to talk to him and tell him that this girl was never that great to him anyways (for April Fools Day, she gave him a lapdance and he felt powerless to stop her or do anything to/with her) and I tried to tell him that he'd find someone else who was good to him. I think he knows we're right, but he's heartbroken anyways.
Yesterday, mom and I got into an argument. This happened two or three weeks ago too when she woke up groggy and grumpy. She doesn't wake up well sometimes and when she doesn't, she looks for fights (and finds them easily)
We spent 30-45 minutes arguing. And it was stupid. She said I didn't take the paper out. I apologized. She said I wasn't helping around the house and I agreed that I wasn't helping as much as I could. She kept yelling at me until I was on the defensive and yelling back and then I was being mouthy with her.
She was -> <- close to screwing up her own plans to have a nice family dinner out for my birthday because of her fucking temper and tiredness. It's not like we don't get along. Most of the time we do, but sometimes she's just got that temper. I suppose I'm lucky that she doesn't try to hit me or something.
I need to get the fuck out of here. Now. :p

Anyways, that's my last couple days. All in all, it was a pretty good birthday and I had fun. :)

And that's really all I have to say at the moment. :) I'll try to post again on a more regular basis.

Ciao dorks and dorkitas :)

I think 3.5 is an improvement on 3. Some of the rules (such as diagnal movement ) are simplified or at least easier for me to understand.
I'm really happy with the changes and additions to the rules :)

Also, thanks :)
