hkellick: Pittsburgh, City of Bridges (Contented)

It may be self-evident from the fact that I am posting in livejournal, but I have made it safe and sound from Rochester to Boston in a reasonable amount of time.
My story began at 4 too bleeding early 30 in the morning when Kristen's Air Siren (sorry, alarm) went off. Yes, I had set it to go off at 4;30, but yowsers, it was louder than I expected.
Managed to drag myself off the bed and into the shower (I won't give the details therein so as not to bore my audience), dressed and ate a decent breakfast. I looked at the clock and it was only 5:00 AM. Well... crap. Too early.
Amused myself by checking a few websites (which reminds me, while I have kidnapped the Karputer, I should check my email. Yay, webmail.) and sort of talked to a way-too-tired [livejournal.com profile] ecwoodburn.
[livejournal.com profile] blackfelicula and company came around earlier than I expected (luckily, I was ready) and we all figured our way to the train station. The amusing thing was that Maureen was driving, John was trying to figure out directions and neither really knew where they were going. So Maureen turned here, turned there and it seemed to me that she was turning semi-randomly. They pulled off, looked at the map, found the train station and were like "Oh. It's just down the road." and it was. Maureen obviously rolled a natural 20 on her direction sense roll :D
Got there, got my ticket and the train was already late. When I got my ticket just around 6:00, the train had yet to get to Buffalo yet... it finally arrived in Rochester half an hour later.
The train ride was.. boring. I read, I slept, I walked to the cafe car and back. It was, at times, painfully boring but otherwise, things were good. Plenty of space. Didn't feel too crowded or too warm or too anything. The ride itself was comfortable, just a little longer than I'd have liked.
Got into Boston about 5 minutes earlier, met up with [livejournal.com profile] kareila, went to TERC to retrieve [livejournal.com profile] alierak, grabbed dinner (chicken for Jen and I, Raw Fish for Robby) and watched Wizard of Space and Time. I'm a little tired, but not exhausted yet.
So, I'll post this, check email, maybe LJ very quickly.. and go join Jen in some DDR Max 2 :D
Hasta luego, mi amigos y amigas.

Knock 'em dead, love!

Erm, OK, not dead. They probably wouldn't want to hire you if you did that...

You get the idea. s:) *smooch* See you tomorrow!

I did an OK job. Dunno when I'll feel up to posting about it, but I think I did OK :)
