I wasn't really planning to do so, since.. you know.. 7th expansion.. but I ended up getting The SIms: Makin' Magic.
I really could use the downtime and.. well.. it's the Sims.
So... yeah.
Post, then install :)

I dunno. It is vERY Harry Potter based, but it's kinda amusing.
Also, it's The Sims. :)
So I can still do all the other things, go on dates, have pets, go on vacation, all that good stuff. :)

Tash adores the commercial, and she's played The Sims with Courtney's brother. Tell me if Makin Magic would be a good place for her/us to start with the Sims?

Well, Makin' Magic is an expansion pack, so you need The Sims to start.
If you want to make Makin' Magic your first expansion pack.. well, it's cute. Trying to do magic is fun. I've already figured out one spell (Turning people into Toads) and one Charm (apparently changing your shape into a number of things like mummy, troll, werewolf, sorcerer etc. for a while)
Really, I think the best expansion set in terms of total amounts of extras, hands down, is Livin' Large, though followed closely by Unleashed (Pets, Farming, Other neatness).

I think I need to come up with a Video Game Picture. Perhaps a screenshot from the sims or something.

They get stressed out, have a crappy weekend and only through the miracles of the Personal Computer find a couple of hours where they feel safe having a chance to relax without obsessing over how terrible the weekend was?

I know things aren't so good in your personal life and relationships right now...I don't know alot in the way of details, so I'm not going to offer solutions or anything. Do know that I'm thinking about you both, and am hoping and praying for good things, and for calm. *hugs*
