Why do I find this not surprising?

I had an odd dream last night about this, actually. I dreamed I was at [livejournal.com profile] kareila's and [livejournal.com profile] alierak's house and they accused me of being angry all the time and I was reading a list of... stereotypes (for lack of a better word) that [livejournal.com profile] kareila had written about some of her friends.
And there, at the end was:
LITE is mad.
And... I was upset that she thought I was always angry or mad, but I couldn't disagree that I do seem to spend alot of my time angry at someone or something.
Anyways...

Been fooling around with Dance Ejay 2 again, in my spare time. Nothing's come of it yet, but I have a few things cookings on the backburner until I know what to do with them.

Reading one of [livejournal.com profile] kareila's last posts, I can't help but be amused at my own... musical meanderings. The one thing I'll say about the music I like is that, for the most part, I continue to like it.
I remember when I was very young I listened to a little of the "popular mainstream" music, but not really. In the car we'd listen to Billy Joel, Beach Boys, Beatles (all of whom I still adore), Barry Manilow, Neil Diamond (neither of who I really care for) and the like. It wasn't really until popular music until I was a paperboy. I only got into it, because I was bored of just walking around the neighborhood delivering papers, so I bought a walkman and started listening to whatever. My peak of popular music interest (excepting for the last year or so) was when late late 80s and early 90s. Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer, Young MC.. these were the artists I worshiped.
At the same time (and I find this hilarious), Marc listened to the heavy metal 80s bands... Poison, Guns n Roses and the like. And I couldn't STAND it!
In 11th grade, I was taking a music theory class that stressed classical music. I got pretty into classical and mock classical (like PDQ Bach) for.. a while.
Of course, in my late 11th grade and through 12th grade, I found my "staple" bands: Weird Al Yankovic, TMBG, Barenaked Ladies and Moxy Fruvous., All discovered within approximately a year.
I was never the same after that. :D
Through my first couple years of college, I "rediscovered" the 80s. I find this highly amusing because it happened 4 or 5 years after the fact. (read: 1994 - 1995). I also discovered Bad Religion and, through being a DJ at WITR ,the RIT radio station, lots of other bands (or at least songs) I liked.
Through my first couple years of UB, I decided to try to get into the world of Electronica. Some of it really like, but some of it is just.. not for me. (Which is why I'm willing to give some of those albums up). I'll admit it... I'm into cheesy dance music. if I can dance to it, it's cool. I especially love cheesy remixes (have to be DECENT Cheesy Remixes, though, not just the song with a disco beat over it.) of songs.
I also, with some suggestions from Kareila, got into a little bit of new age music. She suggested I try Loreena MacKennitt (whom I adore) and I sort of stumbled upon Enya myself and she got me into Leahy.
Then, about three years ago, through Beechwood, I "rediscovered" the 90s and got into (to some extent) bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam. That's when I started listening to my radio station: WEDG , the "New Rock" station. Which is where I first heard bands like System of a Down, Blink 182, Sum 41, Linkin Park etc.
Oh, and thanks to some uploads from arabella and song suggestions from her, I got into Cake less than a year ago.
So... my point (yes, I had one) was... wow.. what a long meandering ride I've been on, musically.
And that's part of why I like such a wide variety of music... from early rock and roll in the 50s and 60s to the neo-techno or hard rock of today.

Anyways... time to post. I've said... more than I planned to say.
