hkellick: Pittsburgh, City of Bridges (Default)
I'm feeling pretty tired, so if this seems even more than usually all over the place, you know why.
Mom is sick. Not sure what. Bloody sick in may. How... annoying. Josh's concert is today too, so it looks like I'm going to have to sit in a gym for an hour and a half, trying hard to pretend to enjoy myself (Yay, Palm Pilot) until and after Josh performs, so that mom can get a tape of Josh's second-to-last concert.
Which I guess is fine, because there's absolutely no way I'm going to his last concert. It's the BIG one.. Chorus AND Band. I don't like Chorus.. in high school, it is apparently not "cool" to sing popular songs or songs I may at leave have heard, everything is 18th century or older and I don't care for that.
Band is worse. Same reasons, but I've never liked band.
So, there is absolutely no way I'm going. I don't CARE if it's his last concert. I've been to every other one this year. I don't CARE if he's my brother. Again, every other one this year.
Not happening.

In other news, I'm not going to Winnipeg. Basically, there's money in the budget for me to go this IAGLR conference only once, and it's better suited me going next year, when I have real results to discuss and not just the groundwork for a thesis. Sorry, Rhayden... I'm sure we'll meet up eventually.
However, since I'm not going to the Winnipeg Conference, that clears up money to go to the NYWEA conference in Rochester. Officially, the conference takes place June 17-19 (that's a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday). I'm not yet sure when I'll go up. Maybe Sunday night. Maybe monday morning. We've been INVITED to go to the entire conference. I guess the.. three or four of us going will discuss it probably closer to the actual conference day.
If possible, I'd REALLY like to hook up with [livejournal.com profile] kolys and [livejournal.com profile] dawnstar sometime while I'm there, but, again, that depends on when I'll be up and what the schedule is.

So... it's going to be a busy weekend. I have to both finish up my GIS project (I have alot to say about this and the damn GIS teacher at a later date) and the Design Class project (which I volunteered to be the penultimate step, putting last minute suggestions together into one near final report (it'll go through another step after Monday in which a few pre-selected reviewers will go through everything. I am not a pre-selected viewer, which is good, because I expect I'll be darn near burnt out on Monday. Heck, I'm already half-way there!)

That's really all I have to say at the moment. So... hasta!
