Weekend at
ecwoodburn's
Jul. 13th, 2003 07:56 amBefore I start, let me apologize beforehand for the typing. Kristen's layout is odd to me (not only are the keys split, but raised near the middle and split like the top of a Y!)
So, for reasons STILL not apparent to me (whenever I travel, I can't sleep. I can't blame the weather or the cats or anything.), I only got about 4 1/2 hours of sleep two nights ago.
Wake up early, watch some TV, leave at 10:15
First Stop: Tops International to buy some flowers. Left with some Carnations.
Next Stop: Rochester.
Can any of the Rochesterites tell me what in Hells Bells is happening on the 490 East? All, I know is there we were reduced to 1 lane of traffic and very slow. :P
Got to Kristen's a little before 12:00 and off to Geneseo we go.
Let me stop just a second and rewind... previously I packed. I considered bringing a jacket and nixed it. This is July, sayeth I, I don't need jackets any more.
My first mistake!
Get to Geneseo no problem, park near the interfaith center and wander around.
It was neat.. I bought some crap (an amusing t-shirt, some lollipops, Kristen and I split some fudgw, almost bought a sign for
kholnuu, but the more I read it, the more I felt it wasn't really him (and that Jill would kill me ;) ).. oh and a teddy bear. It was adorable and supported some domestic violence house (which seemed like a good enough cause to me!) so I bought one for Kristen. ), ate a sub at this place Kristen was raving about.
About 3:30 it starts getting cold.. not cool, cold.. like under 70.. and I had no jacket and no jeans. Things did not look good for our intrepid heroes. Then it began to sprinkle and we headed out of there before Kristen got to see the SkyCoasters which *IS* sad. She was very much looking forward to seeing them.
So we decided to see a movie... went to the Geneseo Cinemas and got two tickets to Finding Nemo, walked over and grabbed a meal, then watched the movie.
Then we went home, ate fudge and watched special features from my "Mpnty Python and the Holy Grail" DVD.
And that was my exciting day.
Today we should see the rest of what is apparently known hereabouts as "The Brain",, specifically Dawn, Oliver, Mureen, John, Beth and (perhaps?) Matt.
And now I'm going to see if I can get any more sleep,
