Dork-A-Thon Food Plans
Jul. 14th, 2003 01:54 pmUpon thinking about it, since we will have 11 people around for a little over 24 hours,
ecwoodburn and I came up with some plans for feeding everyone (since, unlike someplace last year, there will be alot of us in a relatively small confined place without food being all over.)
Here's what we've come up with.. feel free to offer suggestions and/or complaints. This is NOT finalized.
Friday Lunch - Should be just
ecwoodburn,
kholnuu and possibly
dawnstar and
kolys. I'm thinking Chinese Food. There's a place near me that's pretty close.. they have a good lunch meal (under $4 for a drink and a plate of chinese food) or we could order a couple large plates and split it five ways.
Friday Dinner - I'm thinking a late dinner out with Boston Peeps. We'll decide the appropriate place then.
Saturday Lunch - All 11 of us should be over now. Most of us have limited funds. As such, I was thinking Saturday would be a good day for a couple of home meals. We were thinking sandwhiches and/or subs (dependant on if I can find sub rolls) for lunch. I'd get some ham, turkey, cheese, lettuce etc. and that's one meal down.
Saturday Dinner - Grill Hot Dogs and Hamburgers. Add potato chips and possibly some potato or macaroni salad, and we have another fairly cheap and easy dinner :)
Sunday Lunch - Dependant on
phinnia and
tallin (as well as when people want to go home.) I picture Sunday Lunch being a good time to meet up with TalPhinnia (and for myself to clean house. WooFunYay :p ) If people DON'T want to meet TalPhinnia for Lunch, perhaps Pizza.
Sunday Dinner - Should be just
ecwoodburn,
kholnuu and myself. We'll figure it out then.
Suggestions? Comments? Complaints? Exceptions?
Oh.. nearly forgot.. I'm taking donations towards meals and snacks. I'll basically buy the stuff, cut the cost 11 ways and round to the nearest dollar. I'm expecting it to be between $5 and $10 (Hopefully closer to $5). If you can't donate, then don't worry about it, but if you can, that'd be nifty :)
