Wow. How long has it been since I actually talked about my life?

So... what's going on.

This weekend was neat. We didn't do a whole lot. I'm slowly hooking [livejournal.com profile] ecwoodburn into the wonderful world of West Wing (alliteration is FUN! :) ), via Season 1 (Which IMHO, is the best.).
We also found my new favorite store in Rockville, MD: Dream Wizards... they are THE store likely to have all the geek games my little heart desires. Ask Kristen.. we came in and I'm suddenly I'm all "Awesome! Look! Looklooklook!" They had Munchkins, they had Ninja Burger, They had Chez Geek and assorted. They had Apples to Apples, They had EVERYTHING!
I looked around, flitted like a hyperactive pixie and then promptly announced to Kristen that we'd be coming back here.
I bought a small present for myself, Chez Goth :) Which is as much fun as all the Chez Geek/Greek/Grunt series.

Monday was a long day at work for both of us, cementing, in my mind, a very Garfield'esque hate of mondays. Well, not really.. but it was a long day.
A new engineer came to work for us Monday, a girl named Amy. She's painfully shy, but as so far, she seems fairly cool. The night.. went by quickly as we had a long list of things to do before we had company Tuesday.

Tuesday was another long day at work, but fairly productive. Mostly, though, I was a little bit nervous about meeting out guest Tuesday. See, Kristen wanted to invite a newish friend Rachel/[livejournal.com profile] tikva over to the house, which was all good and all, but I felt a little bit shy and unsure. Especially since the first words out of Kristen's mouth was to warn me that Rachel had some vision problems. I think I imagined just sort of being trapped at home talking about whatever and trying to come up with interesting topics. What ACTUALLY happened is.. I got here, Rachel had brought flowers over..we started talking and I asked if she could and wanted to play any games, mentioning we had Chez Goth. Which she could and did. So Chez Goth was playtested. Whee! :) Also, Marc and Josh both decide to call to wish me a happy birthday early.

Wednesday was a pretty good day too. The plan had been, for a little while, that I didn't want to slave for PBS&J all day, so I'd do a half day, coming in to get stuff done, but leaving at 1:00. Came in and someone had reprogrammed the language and ringer volume on my phone (we have at LEAST one constant prankster. I have to admit, I think the joke is getting a little tired, though. It's funny the first couple times, but after about three months of it, it's just stupid.)
Anyways, left at 1:00, came home and napped, checked the mail and got cards from my mother and father, each with a nice check inside (woot. Birthday Booty! ;D), and screwed around with an old game until Kristen came home. Then the two of us went out to dinner at Golden Corral where she gave me her gift (Chrononauts and the Lost Identities Expansion Set). Got home and broke Chrononauts out for two games before I called home to find out that Josh had sent me a present too.. to my old AOL account. It took about 20 minutes to access that account (I dunno if my password got switched or what?), but I finally got it and forwarded i to my comcast account. After that, we called it quits for the night and I got the other half of my present from Kristen ;) (I dunno if I had more fun unwrapping THAT present or playing with it ;) )

So.. Final Birthday Booty Count
Chez Goth (from me)
Chrononauts and Lost Identities (from Kristen)
$50 (to go towards Early American Chrononauts and Munchkin I) from mom
$50 (to go towards M*A*S*H Season 5 and a new DDR pad) from Dad
$40 Amazon Gift Card (to go towards West Wing Season 2) from Josh

I am not unhappy with my birthday booty! ;D

Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday. :)

I'll try to be better about posting about my life a little more often.
