So, yes, echoing the sentiments of most of the people on my friendlist.

I've voted. (Got a cute little sticker that I am proudly wearing stating "I Voted / Yo Vote'") Have you?

I think I'll just be glad when today is over. Hopefully, by the end of the day, we actually HAVE a president instead of another five week long legal battle. Hopefully. Hopefully hopefully HOPEFULLY it's John Kerry.

Today's your day, folks. Today's the day you get about once every two years to really decide where you want the government to do. This is the ONLY say you really get in how the country is won: voting the correct people in. If you need proof of that, check out the last four years when, even when there was a very large outcry, possibly the majority of the country, we still went to war with Iraq.

This is your day, folks. Some people think of it as a right to vote (or not to vote). I say Bullshit. This is your RESPONSIBILITY. This is your world too, folks. Everything THEY do affects us, whether it's sending people we know out to war, giving them the education they need to thrive and survive in today's world, giving them the money they need to actually live. It all comes down to you and the vote that you need to cast.

So. Go and Vote. Vote wisely. This is your country too. At the end of the day, know that you did what you could to make your country a better place. I did.

PS If you haven't gotten the message, you need to go out and vote. LJ is telling you to. Nearly every webcomic, website, news program, newspaper and every person I know is telling you to. Go out and Vote, Dammit!

is it just cool to see everyone post that they've voted (and or why).

OK, maybe it's just me :)

It's good to know that so many people actually care about this election (unlike, say, two years ago :p)

You know...

If there is one thing I want more than Kerry winning (and I want that alot), what I was.. am.. looking for is a clean, fair election. If Bush won fair and square, with no funny business, I could accept it better than if Bush won, but it took another five weeks and the Supreme Court.

I've heard tales of some issues, especially in Georgia and (SURPRISE!) Florida.. I don't know how bad these have been yet, but I'm sure we'll find out.

*sigh*
