I don't really write about my weekends with Kristen anymore. Certainly not a play-by-play.
I... don't think I will now. But I do want to bring up a few things.
It was a GOOD weekend for us, but if only because we were both here for each other for less wonderful periods.
For me, it was my back. I don't know if I slept on it funny or pulled something or what, but my back was sort of aching yesterday before we met her parents for dinner at The Shaghetti Grill, but REALLY ached afterwards. I tried to lay down and take a nap, but I couldn't get comfortable and the two of us weren't sure what to do. We ended up calling
hbbtrbbtbcnbt and talking to her husband Beth who suggested Tiger Balm, a Muscle Relaxant creme. So Kristen ran to Wegmans and took care of it and then spent the rest of the time taking care of me. I will definately say it was preferable to have her massaging the Tiger Balm into my back then trying to do it myself (which is what I just did before coming back downstairs to write this)
So Kristen got to spend a while taking care of me, a role which she not only filled well, but seemed to really enjoy filling (perhaps because I've taken care of her through *2* fairly recent sick spells)
For her, it was dealing with some very understandable fears she has about if I move to Philadelphia and if she moves to join me there. Worries I, myself, have about taking my life and moving it to Philadelphia (or really anyplace that is not close to Buffalo and the life I've made here), finding new friends, finding new favorite hangouts, sort of restarting from scratch sort of thing. I perfectly understand her worries as I have many of them too and that knowledge seemed to help her tremendously.
So, it was a good weekend until I had to run back home to find out that the pilot light for the furnace had been extinguished sometime last night and that the heat in the house wasn't working. Wonderful. Eventually, Marc came over and he got it figured out. Yay for him. Especially since Dad is out of town and never bothered to call home when we paged him to ask what to do. Jerk.
So... it's Sunday night. I have to feed the cats soon. Going to bed early as I'm tired. Sort of miss my Kristen, but I'll see her this weekend.
Not much else to say.
Loves to y'all. Especially my dork :) Still feel very lucky to have such a wonderful girlfriend :)

Date: 2004-01-18 02:41 pm (UTC)I'll miss you if you move away. And Kristen too, obviously. You're here next weekend, right? If so, we'll have to try to get together - whether it's just the four of us or more.
