Basement Boogie - Part I

I've begun the Basement Boogie.
What I did today was go through computer stuff mostly.. started with the games I haven't played with in forever (SimCity 3000 Unlimited, SimGolf, Traffic Giant, all the You Don't Know Jacks but #3 etc.) and offered them to mom and Josh (and whatever they don't want, others can have if they want, as long as I don't have to deal with them anymore) and got rid of the old Prima Strategy guides for some of those games. The only Prima guides I have left is Zoo Tycoon, Roller Coaster Tycoon 2, All the Sims Strategy Guides and SimCity 4. This gives me more room (on that shelf at least) for DVDs.
Then I went through the other CD holder worth of CDs and got rid of Windows 98 and Me, Windows 98 upgrade, old versions of Norton Antivirus and Mixman etc. Then grabbed a CD case from an old shelf and put all the still good stuff (Newest versions of Norton, Microsoft office etc.) and put them in there.. then cleaned off the old shelf.
So... the Basement Boogie has begun.
Tommorow I may either continue the Basement Boogie or go back into my room and go through stuffed animals and drawers.
My plan is to get all the old stuff I DON'T want to take with me to MD out so that I can pack less and make less trips. It seems like a good plan.
The Flylady would be proud :)
Speaking of the Flylady, I've decided to tune in to her group for a while. Get an idea for the sorts of things involved in keeping a house clean and happy. Also, I'll probably peruse her site as they've offered some good moving ideas (such as color coding boxes based on the expected room it will go in.)
Tommorow I get the official call, officially asking for me to begin working at PBS&J and giving me an idea of what sort of salary I'll begin with. :)
I am both excited and terrified.
Yes, still.
I think I want to discuss party since other people have begun discussing it without me.
I DO want to have a party of some sort, but whether or not I feel like I have the time to do so depends on what sort of timeframe I'm looking at to move. If I feel too rush, said party will need to wait until after I've moved in, in which case it'll be a housewarming party.
If I feel less rushed, then I'll announce a party, either in Rochester or Buffalo or what.
But the point is, let me get a feel for the timeframe I'm working with before deciding (or before others decide for me), OK?
Thank you :)
Off to bed I go. Love to my dork and to the rest of you loverly people who support me :)

Date: 2004-02-23 01:15 am (UTC)I have other Simulation games. The ones I've given to mom are Zoo Tycoon, Roller Coaster Tycoon and SimCity 3000 Unlimited.
Let me see what Josh keeps. The rest will probably end up in my trunk with the other CDs I was supposed to give away and never did :p
