Ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about.
Then post this meme in your LJ and find out what people don't know about you.

Date: 2004-08-18 04:34 am (UTC)I AM good with computers.. and I certainly have the logical skills necessary for programming, however I can't count the number of nights I sat staring at a screen trying to find THE STUPID ERROR THAT WON'T LET MY PROGRAM RUN!!!! :p
After a little more of a year of Comp Sci, I dropped it. It wasn't for me.
So... in my geekery, I thought Aerospace Engineering might be the way.. and I tried THAT for a couple of years, up to the point where I realized that, realistically, the market for Aerospace Engineers wasn't huge and I could do better.
During an introduction to engineering course I HAD to take when I transferred over to UB, I got a lecture from a number of different engineers about what they do, including a lecture from Dr. Rabideau, a civil engineering professor. It was about a groundwater problem he was working on, that was difficult and chaotic and would require physics and chemistry and earth science to solve. I was.. interested. A challenge that I could get into.
That's how I REALLY found myself, in a career goal sort of way. Certain other small benchmarks along the way cemented my assurance that environmental engineering is where I wanted to be, but that was the beginning.
Ultimate goal? I have a number of them.. become a P.E. (Practicing Engineer), possibly work in the sort of field I'm doing my thesis in (Water QUALITY modeling instead of what I'm doing now.. Water Quantity (and movement) modeling).
