First it was Bert and Ernie, then Tinky Winky, then (apparently) Spongebob.

Now the fucking religious right have a problem with BUSTER BUNNY (from the Arthur the Aardvark universe).

Because he's got a new show (where he travels around the world learning about things) and he goes to Connecticut to learn about how maple syrup is made and *GASP* he goes into a house with a HOMOSEXUAL marriage.

Let me say that again, on learning about how to make maple syrup, Buster bunny, a show aimed at young children, went into a house where two adult women lived.

And the fucking stupid ass backwater bible thumping evanfuckingelical Christians want to ban the show because a young child is *gasp* being exposed to homosexuality.

I really hate these assholes. Really hate.

Fucking idiots.

I was reading a magazine the other day and it has a readers commentary section and they had some comments on a previous magazines article which had been about this newborn baby who was abandoned in the subway of NYC and who was luckily found by this young man who was gay..later he and his partner adopted the boy. It was a beautiful story. So anyway this woman wrote a comment to the magazine that they only posted I believe so there readers could slam her next magazine. She basically said "How dare a family magazine put an article about homosexuals in there magazine. Homosexuals shouldn't be able to adopt children and homosexuality was sick and unnatural." If that woman was in my face saying that out loud I would have slapped her..seriously.
I'm glad I'm not living in the states where I swear they put something in the water. Its a miracle some of us Americans have a brain..

This just pisses me off.
What I fail to understand is... alright, let's say that Timmy is a five year old boy. What's he really being exposed to in a loving homosexual family environment that he's not being exposed to in a loving heterosexual family environment?
People scream that it's unnatural, but the thing that gets me is, that comment, more than any other makes no sense.
If homosexuality WAS unnatural, why is there a visible percentage of people who seem to have naturally fallen into it? It's not limited to class, race, sex or religion. A black protestant man is as likely to be as gay as a white jewish girl. There's no definative correlation.
But it's "unnatural".
No. You're just an idiot.

Thats just the thing. It IS natural. Its happened since the beginning of time..read some Greek history thats not been watered down. Christianity has just destroyed as much knowledge of it as they could and has painted it "unnatural." So its been something thats been hidden, surpressed, and ignored as much as possible.
Its not just humans either. Homosexuality happens naturally in nature. Its been scientifically proven. I wonder if they ever thought it could be evolutions way of population control.
