[Music Recommendation]: Captain Tractor

I like Captain Tractor. They are an especially spiffy Canadian Band (I swear, they're Carbon Leaf, but with more of a sense of humor and no electric mandolins). I would like to suggest people like dawnstar, kolys and mythagon, who are Carbon Leaf fans, give Captain Tractor a try. You too, kareila

I mean.. they cover "If I Were A Rick Man" from Fiddler On The Roof! (*wonders how to make his brother, Josh, listen to this*)
And The Arrogant Worms' "Last Saskatchewan Pirate"!

I'm pretty sure we used to have one of their songs, but we don't seem to have it any longer. Perhaps it was their Arrogant Worms cover.

Check 'em out - they do silly, they do serious. They do soft sweet numbers and pretty rockin' numbers.
Seriously.. check 'em out. They remind me, personally, alot of Carbon Leaf. I think you'd like it :)

I think I listened to them once and wasn't impressed... are they just a cover band?

*nod* My mother told me about Media Play

They are NOT just a cover band. They do cover songs, but they have much more depth than that. As I said to dawn, some of their stuff is straight out serious rock. Some of it is silly stuff (They have a great song called Frozen Puck to the Head, about a hockey player falling in love). They have Celtic influences, but can do plain old guitar-based rock.
Honestly, I think you should try them again if you think they are just a cover band :)
